Nothing like having coffee with a theme.
I've seen cafes where you can pet dogs, cats, sheep, others with penguin, polar bear and zoo animals motif, others adorned with Hanbok customs, and dress up clothes, a camping concept, fish pedicure/spa, Charlie Brown, Rilakkuma, Hello-Kitty, Bill Cosby themed cafes.
Coffee Prince. Original place from the kdrama. But prices were so high I didn't stay to have coffee. |
Hello kitty Cafe. Need I say more. So cute and bring a sharpie and leave your mark. Prices aren't to bad. Located just off Eoulmandang-ro in Hongdae. |
Zoo Coffee. Cute zoo theme. Good coffee and good price for a waffle and coffee set. Located on Eoulmandang-ro in Hongdae exit 9 or 8 at Hongik University Station, line 2 |
Cube Cafe in Gangnum had a fun Kpop theme inside but the coffee wasn't that great. Located sort of near Apgujeong Station Line exist 1 or 2 |
Brit's Farm Cafe in Hongdae. Good strong coffee and a small but nice selection of pastries. |
This second floor cafe is located of exit 9 line 2
Hongik University station, Hongik-ro right outside
the front gates of Hongik University.
|
Ann Doll Cafe; I believe it is located on Wausan-ro 21-gil at the intersection of both Eoulmandang-ro and Hongik-ro 3-gil |
One of the best coffees for the best price I had was straight outside of exit 1 at Ewha Women's University Station about a block and a half was this little metal box (almost like a newsstand) on the street close to the curb past TomTom Cafe. There was a women selling exotic coffee for 1,000 won about a $1.00. **And she was so nice to add cream to my Americano.
Passion 5 cute pricey bakery in Itaewon.
Located near the Hangangjin Station exit 3.
They state that there is usually 300-400 items to choose from.
Our group of four tried a few different items. My favorite was the large macron stuffed gelato sandwich
** Most places do not have cream or milk out or available to add to your coffee in Korea. I think they expect you to order a latte or cappuccino if you want milk or cream.
