Best Graffiti or Art

Street art in Sinchon near Hongik University

This area is also know as Hongdae. You can reach this area from Line 2 and either walk from Hongik University Station or Sinchon Station.

Almost every street you walk down will have graffitti, cafes, restaurants, shopping, street food, guesthouses, bars and grocery stores where local will be sitting outside enjoying each others company and a favorite spirits.

It's a very lively area with three large university, Ewha Women's University, Hongik and Yonsei University within a kilometer of each other.

Life is colorful and affordable. There are great cafes and restaurants in this area. Over the weekends during the day there is a craft market with local artist selling their wears in the main local park(Children's Park). After 8:00 PM you will find many street performers in this area as well.

You can find many budget dorms/guesthouse through places such as Agoda,Tripadvisor, Hostel.com, Airbnb and HostelWorld. Research this places carefully and look at reviews or you could be living in an enclosed balcony with no ability to turn around in your room and you are sharing the shower/toilet with 20 people. Noise can also be a problem in this area since people party all night here. I have walked out at 7:00 AM to find the streets filled with party goes still at it.
So many of my favorite cafes, restaurants, pizza parlors, noribongs(singing rooms), shopping streets, patbingsue/dessert cafes are in this area.

This fall I attended a large 3 day international music festival called Zandari. I believe this was their third year. It's an uncommercial voluntary showcase with many different genres from around the world, held in 21 venues.  It was great! :)
